Tomb Raider

Music From The Motion Picture (2001)

By Hamilton X

I confess, the only reason I bought this CD was because it contained a Nine Inch Nails song titled "Deep". When I bought this CD I was surprise how much rap, dance, and electronica appeared on this album. I was expecting most of it to be alternative rock or heavy industrial. I found this CD entertaining, even thou I am not the biggest fan of rap, but I did enjoy "Get Ur Freak On" by Missy Elliott and Nelly Furtado.

U2's "Elevation", which is more fast pas than most of their songs , can be found on this album. Bosco, Moby, Delerium, and The Chemical Brothers are also on this album. Even thou I never seen the movie, and Popcorn Avenger might be right in saying that the movie really sucked, but I really enjoyed most of the album. I suggest to any dance/techno fan to get this album because you will love it. If your not much into dance/techno/rap then you might not like this album. The only song I didn't like was "SpeedBallin" by OutKast, of course that's just my opinion. The OutKast song was Yaz's favorite song on the album. I give this album a 7.5 out of 10.
